Also I asked about using self defense should something have happened, obviously if you're in immediate danger and they make a move first, legally you can fight back. Pepperspray is a different scenario as its considered a 'fire arm' 🚫 but hair 'glue' spray isn't 😝 & it burns....trust me.

I wouldn't expect a conviction anyway, not even close. I reported it just in case it lead onto anything with someone else, considering there was a kidnapping in Leeds over the weekend. I did submit a good photo and video of the guy too.

Update: Police can't do anything as he didn't physically try to grab me, but they've logged his car reg for future reference (if he gets pulled over etc). I didn't expect much else.

The Trans woman I worked with respected privacy and didn't want to go into the changing rooms by choice. If she ever needed to, she would wait by the entrance, but wouldn't assist anyone unless they asked her. She was a very well liked member of staff by our customers too.

Also we never saw anything we didn't want to, as we would let the customers change themsleves in a new bra, then offer to measure if it didn't fit right. We always asked the customers if they were comfortable, and the mums were always present if needed - for assurance!

Can honestly say, at no point in my life (or any shop), have i had a man offer to measure me for a bra or work in the changing rooms.

This includes a major retailer I worked at that had trans people working there. Customers always picked who they wanted to help with this.

Do not approach the vehicle if you are able to do so - let's say in this scenario, you are being blocked from crossing a road by them, or they are parked up next to you. 1. CLOCK YOUR SURROUNDINGS - Look for any houses or open business's you could safely run to. Alternatively, an open public pathway with heavy traffic nearby to grab someone's attention if needed. 2. GET YOUR PHONE OUT, HIT RECORD - If you haven't set up a safety alert app or button trigger, look into this now. Some phones have these installed. DO NOT MAKE IT OBVIOUS YOU ARE RECORDING, but try to get their face, car, and potentially reg in the video. 'Gesture' with your phone in hand as part of the conversation to disguise this

3. CHECK THE WINDOWS AND COVER YOUR BACK - are the windows tinted? Can you see clearly inside? Is there anything someone could be potentially hiding under? = RUN. Be aware of any passing vehicles or individuals nearby. Keep your exit clear, and your body turned towards this in case you need to run. 4. Never lean into, near, or even get into the vehicle - sounds very obvious, but many people lean near the vehicle without thinking. You are an vulnerable target here, keep upright and firm in posture. 5. Never touch their belongings, such as their phone - it could be stolen property, or anything. They could also be recording you. Just don't risk it.

6. Walk away from the vehicle if you feel uncomfortable or they start to get aggressive, if you need to, make a scene so passers-by can hear you. Trigger your safety app. Flag down any vehicles if you feel safe to do so. Again, do not get into them. Talk with the operator and ensure someone stays with you. This is only if you feel unsafe, otherwise walk away and call someone (999/911, or a friend depending on the situation) and keep talking to them, giving a description of the individual and your location, until you are safe. ALWAYS - Trust your gut insitinct!

There was a kidnapping in my city this weekend, and industrial estates are high-risk areas, as they are normally used as 'red light' districts.

Police have taken this very seriously, I wasn't overreacting!

To show him where his destination was. Obviously, I did not, and whipped my phone out and started recording. He tried getting me to lean into the car to look at his phone map. I stepped away and left, and he realised I was recording and drove off. Police are investigating.

First off, I just want to highlight this wasn't your typical KN event. I did not have individuals try to bundle me into a vehicle.

I had a man pull up in a car a distance from me on a quiet industrial estate road, asking for directions, despite having Google maps up. He asked me to get in the car/

I swear I nearly got kidnapped this morning, thankfully I am very street-smart and knew what to do, but holy shit??

I have a call with the police tomorrow about this.
