Honedge was the very first Pokemon I shiny hunted for myself. Nearly 6 years later, I'm back in Kalos, and I found a shiny alpha!

Bench resets in Wild Zone 20 gonna go hard ✌️

Regretting getting the Hori Split Pad as my turbo controller for the Switch 1. Turbo controllers seem very useful for shiny hunting in Z-A, but I can't use the Split Pad on the Switch 2 since it's a non-wireless controller that slides directly on the Joy-Con railings for the Switch 1.

But it was Mega Pidgeot! ME-GA PI-DGE-OT!

5 shiny Kangaskhan, 7 shiny Furfrou, 3 shiny Audino, 3 shiny Fletchling, a shiny Eevee, a shiny Patrat, a shiny Trubbish, and a shiny Drampa in Legends Z-A

+Bonus of all the shinies found in this hunt (minus the Kangaskhan I gave my wife), including two Fletchling I found in the immediate area after getting the Drampa.

I hadn't been spoiled on what shiny Mega Drampa looked like, and it was such a treat to see it in-game! The yellow complements the storm clouds nicely, it's like a big thunderbolt! 🥰

Shiny Drampa after 292 encounters (after starting to do this hunt properly!) My first actual Z-A hunt, and my goodness, shinies are so plentiful in this game. In the 2 days I was hunting this, I found a total of 23 shinies! 😱

So I phased 14 times (one Kangaskhan not pictured here bc I gave it to my wife) before I got an inkling I may be doing something wrong... turns out flying to the gate for the wild zone doesn't actually respawn the Drampa because it's too far away. You have to run to and from the Drampa. D'oh! 😫

This wasn't too painful at least, took probably less than 10 matches overall. Still really sucks to lock new mega evolutions behind time-limited, online-only events though.

I have everything done for the charm except for the 1000 battles of course. Still a little over 300 shy of that. Time for some Le Nah grinding!
