I remember watching it for the first time at a school friend's house as he had it on DVD. He just showed me all the action scenes because all the bits in between were "a bit talky"

Pizza girl gets a panicked call one night because Baervald has collapsed and Brun didn't know landlines could call 911. But this is the house with the old lady who used to order the Mucho Caliente!

DUN-DUN-DUNNNN tragic Baervald backstory.

I'd HATE it.

I'd sure hate it if she moved in with Brun and was constantly exasperated with Brun's habits, against a backdrop of Brun's accidental befriending of an ageing watchmaker.

I won't, and you can't make me. In fact, I'm imagining that you lost your keys right as you went to leave the house. HA!

A screenshot of Jeph's post, edited to look like an autocomplete suggestion text has appeared.

In now reads "oh my god if you pause typing for a few seconds in google docs now a fucking AI prompt pops up where your cursor is. I hate everything about this. I always thought having thinking, talking computers would be great like Star Trek but instead they're shitty and bad like Jar-Jar Binks. I know he wasn't a robot but he was a disappointment."

Can't wait for the phrase "a pre-2023 publication stated that.." to become common because everything written since then is potentially a sort of weird no-effort pseudo con of some kind.

Column, fireworks, a.. moon? Racing glove (mabes) and animal ears.

Six releases, so every two months maybe ancient Rome (ides of March), Cinco de Mayo, Apollo 11 landing, Italian Grand Prix and a.... maybe that Icelandic Christmas cat thing?

(quick DuckDuckGo later)

A Jolakotturinn. Yep, that.?

So glad you made this - great watch and hope lots of young horror devs see it too ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ

I was also a big scaredy for ages, then Ravenholm and F.E.A.R all but won me over completely; FNAF made me think I'd maybe gone off horror games but now I reckon it's that I find unavoidable jump scares obnoxious

For context, Newbury is a market town in Berkshire of about 40,000 inhabitants. Every weekday the population near enough doubles because of commuters, and sometimes swans happen when we're all trying to go home again.

9 years ago, this swan messed up traffic across the whole of Newbury for hours. Eventually, me and two other guys led it away - it kept trying to go back to the main crossroads so we had to keep making ourselves look big.

A black silkie chicken eyeballs the camera a bit like "what are you looking at?" - two white silkie chickens can be seen in the background, slightly out of focus.

I don't know her personally, but I think this silkie from Yorkshire is mad at you.

It's been about 15 years since I worked in graphic design, but the memory of a Business Guy With Bad Ideas doing an initial design brief is already haunting enough - imagining him additionally with a fist full of slop to compare your work against as you go... yyyeeuuuck.

A screenshot of the 3-panel Penny Arcade comic "Character Selection", from 24/04/2013.

Jonathan Gabriel features isolated in the first panel, saying:

"I'm super excited for Dragon's Crown! I'm going to play as the Sorceress, because she looks like this:"

The second panel shows the Sorceress Character from Dragon's Crown. Her straight-top lace neckline struggles to hold back a pair of over-exaggerated breasts, as she leans forward using her impossibly thin waist.

A speech bubble then adds "But maybe I wouldn't play as the warrior if he looked like this...?"

The third panel shows the Warrior, reimagined with over-exaggerated sexual characteristics in line with the Sorceress. In addition to a chiseled physique and prodigiously thick chest hair, the Warrior's outfit features a tertiary genital loincloth which bulges obscenely beneath his revealing Romanesque kilt. A flame-orange pubic shrubbery erupts from the underside of the kilt, wreathing an ivory pillar of phallic meat that descends weightily into the loincloth beneath. Though further specifics are obscured by the loincloth's hardy construction, the outline of his means of reproduction is clearly visible, hinting at an eventual urethral terminus much akin to three surgically-fused manatees in terms of mass, form, and intensity of purpose.

I am reminded instantly of this classic from the Penny Arcade archive, and look forward to seeing what they do with any warriors as a result.

I had a friend who lives in Simcoe, and I'm constantly double-taking when he talks about going to places nearby. Not everywhere, but spots like London, Chatham, Stratford, Cambridge, Durham, Kemble, Watford, Essex, Newbury, Grimsby, Acton, or Angus sound so British...

I moved from London to Leeds (via other places) and after years of being a bit too warm all the time, Yorkshire has finally provided me with both reasons to wear a proper coat sometimes and the word "nesh" to describe all the softies I love back down South ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ it's good here

I'm assuming there'll be a podcast somewhere; two swamp hags using the phrase "not a lot of people know about this, but" just waaaay too often for like four hours.

Still get a lot of misinformation, but it's mainly about locally sourced wetland hex components.

Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal Jason Bergman talks with the creators of the very popular (and very NSFW) webcomic.

If you're an Oglaf, Platinum Grit, and/or safetyhammer fan, you may be as pleasantly shocked as I was to see an in-depth Trudy Cooper interview pop up on the internet www.tcj.com/talking-ogla...

An early Furious 7 movie poster, with the faces of Jane Douglas, Ellen Rose, Andy Farrant, and Mike Channell plastered over the faces of several of the lead cast members.

It's very crudely done, yet with infinitely more intentionality than any AI slop, and its production was WAY less likely to kill a penguin
