Understanding how shell trace metal composition varies among spatial scales and over time helps us better understand where and how larvae disperse in the deep sea.

I'm Ian, I study deep-sea methane seep mussel larval dispersal using laser ablation spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). PhD candidate at NC State University.

I like going to the bottom of the sea and to the tops of mountains. And sailing around them occasionally.
