Acta Cryst. Section B: Structural Science, Crystal Engineering and Materials is pleased to announce the commissioning of a Special Issue dedicated to Crystal Growth and Related Characterization. This follows the introduction of the journalβs Crystal Growth section in 2021 and reflects our continued commitment to advancing research in this area. We invite researchers to contribute original work on all aspects of crystal growth involving non-biological small molecules and extended organic, inorganic or hybrid materials. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: β’ Crystal growth mechanisms β’ Melting, sublimation, and dissolution behavior β’ Control of morphology, size, and polymorphism β’ Intermolecular interactions and the assembly of extended structures β’ Structural characterization via diffraction or atomic-scale imaging β’ Growth techniques accompanied by a clear crystallographic or structural analysis Submission deadline: 15 December 2025 All manuscripts will undergo standard peer review. Structures included in this movie include: 5hd3 (ground state), 5hdc (100-400 femtoseconds after illumination), 5hdd, 5hds (3 picoseconds), 4b9o (100 picoseconds), 5hd5 (200 nanoseconds) and 1ts0 (1 millisecond).
