Lots of people I know or talk to are going to Carolinas

Anecdotal but having lived here my whole life NE is *extremely* caste system like with slow advancement and HCOL. Most states are rapidly losing population with the folks moving out going largely south due to cost of living, more opportunities, etc. Nothing here is growing except NYC

I feel this is moving the goalposts slightly , the fact that individual vendors or implementations decided to superset a standard is not necessarily proof the standard was inadequate. That said IMAP comes to mind
