I'm one of them but I fight the urge, joining x is a big no no.

I slowly try to build an audience on artstation, might work on my cara.app account later, and then there is bluesky where things are extremely slow ^^

People are usually scared to let go of their audience cause its so hard to build it back from scratch, there is an incentive to gain momentum and leaving twitter for some could mean leaving this momentum to stall indefinitely.

I, personally, don't think it really matters much anymore, fuck twitter

One thing that creative people often avoid doing because they think it makes them seem conceited or will annoy others is to say when they’re really proud of their work but I love when people tell you how much something means to them or how much effort it took, art involves the context of the artist

I know everyone only swear by Lateralus but 10.000 days is my favorite album.

Cest THE truc avec l'imagerie générée, ca tape TOUJOURS complètement à côté, mais vraiment 100% du temps.

Sur linkedin ça m'en donne des nausées tellement cest à côté de la plaque pour dire des trucs complètement tiède avec de l'ia.

The entire illustration is a happy accident, because it all started with "what do i draw today" and i just randomly sketched mecha silhouette thingies, the second one felt so good in action that i just couldn't stop building onto it.

CSP's timelapse feature is such a glorious thing, even "while" working, being able to see the steps you took teaches you quite a lot, such as design choice or shift in direction.

Around the middle of it, i started playing #Helldivers2, you can probably tell 😅

Next coming up ! WIP of illustration i've been sleeping on for too long, the initial sketch is probably two months old, i came back to it because... i love glorious mechas fighting large beasts!

oui enfin à voir comment c'est "fait", dans le sens ou par exemple pas besoin d'entrainer une IA sur 10M d'albums de zic sous copyright pour aider les malentendants.

Ni d'entrainer une IA sur des oeuvres d'art pour les malvoyants.

La méthode, à mon sens, dicte si la tech est éthique ou non.

On est d'accord que si solution il y a ça devrait aussi bien s'appliquer de notre vivant que post mortem?

L'interdiction des deepfakes toutes formes confondue hors accord donné (avec limite) serait un bon début.

La réalité est plus complexe, mais si on sur-simplifie, absolument personne n'aurait de soucis avec l'IA dans un monde où l'on fait respecter la loi.

Le gros soucis c'est qu'on ne vit pas dans ce monde, pour chaque cas utile on a 1millions de dérives qui titillent l'illégal.

So one way i fight against that is by painting over the whole thing one i've established a proper base.

In this one every additionnal details is painted in normal mode on very few layers, the previous steps are non destructive but this one is, however it just feels more like actual drawing.

the issue though is that it's so formulaic that it kind of removes every bit of happy accidents or any kind of artistic flare, it just kinda looks like a coloring exercise.

it's actually quite silly, the approach is just that after establishing my base colors (or flats) i start working on the shading by using only a white base, what i like about it is that it helps me not getting distracted by how the shading interacts with the flat's values.

a little character i did quickly to test out my old approach to coloring, i followed the exact same steps as the works i used to do for a card game called Eredan : ARENA about 7 years ago.

It feels limited, but my goal was to find out what to improve because it is still a very fast method.
