I like Ed Davey. I think he's a decent politician. Sadly, he's not a great speaker and this conference speech is like a middle class tea and biscuits session. I was hoping there would be some fight in this, but it feels....well...weak.

I'm enjoying the Women's rugby world cup. Entertaining Scotland game this afternoon. The ball looks enormous for the players though. Apparently there's been discussion on using a 4.5 size ball which would make sense.

I'm in a bar in Berlin, it's labour day which, like in most European cities, is a big deal. The birdie song has just come on and the place has erupted. I feel like I've found my home.

These days I use the Elizabeth line as even though it's slower the lower cost and more central stops work better.

I quite like Berlin's new airport, but oh my word it needs an express train into the city. I'll never complain about the Heathrow express again. Maybe.
