I stopped, but it was clear the dog didn’t make it. A lady ran out of her house, yelling “oh no, oh no”
I asked if it was hers, she said “a friend,” and scooped up the dog’s body and scurried back to her house.

The driver of the white SUV that ran over the dog, never bothered to stop.

Was witness to somebody’s dog run over in the street on my way home. The dog shouldn’t have been out and the driver should’ve stopped (but didn’t, even after), but the end result is someone’s dog was killed right in front of me less than an hour ago.

This shakes me up even though it wasn’t mine -

I’ve been to Canada, more than once. I love every part of it I’ve seen and every Canadian I’ve met. Canada is too great and too wonderful (and, yea, too Canadian) to be cast as some “51st state.” It’s an insult and nobody should stand for it.
