‼️ This is absolutely absurd. Trump is actively manufacturing a crisis. The Pentagon just announced that he’s federalizing another 2,000 California National Guard troops bringing the total to 4,000, plus 700 active-duty Marines heading into LA. This is a military occupation, not public safety.

1/ As a white person who has lived in CA for 20+ years can I explain a few basic facts to white people living elsewhere?

A Chicano/Mexican accent doesn’t mean you’re undocumented or even an immigrant at all.

Mexican flags at protests/events/businesses…it’s like the Irish flag or harp.

As someone who lives in Los Angeles, don’t let social or mainstream media gaslight you into thinking there’s a violent uprising taking place here. The Trump administration is trying to punish this state and this city. He’s also setting a precedent to unleash troops on Democratic cities.

This maneuver also clashes with the Militia Clause in the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 15), which gives Congress, not the president, the power to call forth the militia under specific conditions like insurrection or invasion.

Rebellions are built on hope. Please film everything and document what you see. We have people on the ground who’ve been harmed for doing nothing. The situation is evolving, and we’re mobilizing more resources to help.

Just like in the parks, safety comes first.

- Leave no one behind
