I am very pleased to share the news that the Empire Series co-authored by Janny Wurts and myself will be translated into,Arabic. Al Amal Al Kubra in Saudi Arabia has secured the world language rights so this is a huge entry into that market. No details beyond that.

Barcelona has bought the rights to everything so far. I expect they’ll put this next series out as well.

My point is sometimes you subconscious takes over. Part of the fun is knowing where you’re going but not being sure how you’re going to get there.

So, when a character says, "Do you really want to do that?" I stop. "OK, so what should I do instead?" I ask.

Crickets.

I hate it when that happens.

If that’s the leather cover, I sighed the title page which was duplicated at the printer. I forget why exactly they wanted to do that. I think it was a time limit thing. Anyway, that was the only time they tried that. Every other edition I’ve signed pages here at home or finished books in Glasgow.

Left hand is now as good as it’s going to get, given arthritis, so back to work. (Mom, do I gotta get out of bed? I don’t wanna go to school! It’s cold outside!).

I have no idea. The FP ‘89 signing is a decent bet as it is the only time Janny and I were in London at the same time.

It was always going to be a multi book project. Didn’t know how many when I started. SerpentWar ended up as 4. DeamonWar 2. Thing change in the telling.

No news, but a recap. Six Studio is still involved with developing both the Riftwar and Empire series in TV and film projects. I did something stupid and screwed up my left hand, so no progress on the next book. But life goes on. Safe travel everyone and enjoy the holiday.

A bit of a knack, I guess. I sort of hang on to interesting names. Browse a city directory, and you’ll stumble across lots of different names.

There seems to be a flood of folks coming aboard. Time to pay more attention. No news per se, but I’ll post some info tomorrow that might have been neglected while I’ve been musing my left hand. Memo to self: not only aren’t you as fast and strong as you were at 25, Dummy, you don’t heal as fast.

Just thought of you the other day, Harry. Chanced across a bit in the film Aliens vs Predators where someone says, “This is like finding Moses’s DVD collection.” And I thought did you come up with that line? Anyway, looks like a lot of us are finding our way here.

After a long absence, I’ve recovered from screwing up my left hand in a fall. Memo to self: you’re not a kid anymore! Stop trying to grab stuff like you did when you were 18!

In any event, hand is 90% and I can type for short periods. So, today I have only one thing to say: VOTE if you haven’t.

Glad you’re enjoying it. It’s been a point of pride the work captures ideas I only had a rough idea of until Janny made them better. Collaborations can be tough but worth it.
