On one hand, its cool solutions don't have to be created from scratch. On the other hand, it's a bit disconcerting to see knowledge sharing fail so frequently.

I don't know how to feel about the solution to many Canadian problems (in this case the poor layout of a large towers-in-the-park development) having solutions in other countries that we just haven't adopted yet.
