I’ve always loved the TTC’s Queen’s Quay (Ferry Docks) Station. It’s unique because it’s the only underground streetcar station that’s not an interchange with the subway, and you cross the tracks at-grade to access the opposite platform.

Future Waterfront East streetcar right of way on Ookwemin Minising island. We really need the Federal Government to help get this project funded.

Toronto’s new Biidaasige Park is excellent. Renaturalizing the mouth of the Don River, adding native plants, and creaking kilometres of new public trails was a monumental task, so congrats @waterfrontoronto.bsky.social!

Even though we always have room for improvement, nowhere else in the Americas has the sheer will to build transit the way Toronto and Ontario do.

So neat how in Toronto you can wander down a random residential street and there’s just a streetcar parked there hanging out

The Guelph - Kitchener/Waterloo - London corridor has the chance to become its own city region with an orbit outside of Toronto.

Even better, it has a lightly used rail line connecting the cities, and the Province already owns half of it.

GO Kitchener Line 4th tracking south of the CPKC flyunder progressing well, with new rails laid almost as far south as Bloor GO. Concrete ties are a nice touch as they reduce maintenance and are noticeably quieter. More tracks = more service.

Woodbine (Racetrack) GO station construction is now fully underway.

Give Toronto streetcars their own lanes everywhere!

Thorncliffe Park Station and Flemingdon Park Station on Toronto’s upcoming Ontario Line. Great examples of elevated metro stations, which hopefully inspires future elevated transit in Toronto and the surrounding region.

If this is how busy Toronto’s Union Station is in 2025, what will it be like in 2035?

Toronto needs the Midtown GO Line and additional downtown shoulder stations ASAP.

Toronto-style bike lane barriers are great. Cheap and fast to deploy and they do an effective job of keeping cyclists safe.

South of the Caledonia Line 5/Barrie Line GO station site, @Metrolinx has been working to widen the corridor in advance of double tracking it. This work will allow enhanced frequency on the Barrie Line.

Construction is starting for GO Transit’s Caledonia Station on the Barrie Line, which will connect to the soon-to-open Eglinton Crosstown/TTC Line 5.

Sure, we can do a lot better on existing transit in Toronto. But when you look at the scope of rapid transit expansion underway right now in the City, it’s something we should be proud of.

This is what the transit network will add by the mid 2030s (not including GO Expansion).

Often overlooked Toronto project: Metrolinx is currently building an entirely new GO train concourse at Union Station on the south side.

Called the Bremner Concourse, it will feature multiple new platforms/tracks, and have wide staircases for ease of passenger movement.
