There are 150K+ ballots to count and Prop L needs more Yes votes than Prop M in order to prevail, but we’ve won 56% of early votes across a wide geographic base. Support for transit funding in San Francisco is strong, our coalition is determined, and our work is just beginning.

We are so proud of our volunteer team who showed up these last seven months to fight for Muni. Hundreds of us gathered over 17,000 signatures to put Prop L on the ballot, knocked 11,000 doors, and won broad political support in the face of over $1M in opposition.

To achieve her vision for a “24-7 downtown, with a new neighborhood centered on more nightlife, entertainment, and with new housing and residents,” Breed's campaign added that we need to “fund and expand the city’s late night Muni service for residents and workers.”

On a crowded ballot, Prop L “has support from the vast majority of the city’s political establishment, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and four of the five leading mayoral candidates.”

One of those candidates is the current mayor, London Breed.

A new tax on Uber and Lyft Ride-hailing companies and public transit advocates are duking it over a ballot measure to tax Uber and Lyft to help fund San Francisco’s struggling public transit system.

“As transit agencies face this fiscal cliff,” Prop L could be “a playbook for transit advocates in other cities desperate to save bus lines and services at risk of being cut,” according to Politico.
