The goal of nonviolent civil resistance is not to convince the regime they're wrong.

The goal of #NonviolentCivilResistance is to convince the people to work together to make it impossible for the regime to sustain itself.

We aren't nonviolent for the regime. We're nonviolent for each other.

JUST IN: A federal judge in Michigan has rejected the administration's attempt to obtain the state's voter rolls.

Judge Hala Jarbou, a Trump appointee, said the law does not require the state to turn them over.

This is why domestic "shuffle" flights between ICE detention centers have skyrocketed, much moreso than ICE deportation flights.

When you are moved to a different jurisdiction, you have to refile your habeas petition all over again. They want to wear people down so they'll give up on their cases.

Stop calling Trump's horrible law "the Big, Beautiful Bill." Call it the "2025 Megabill" or the "Big, Ugly Bill." I don't care if "beautiful" is in the official name. Since when have people been bound by that? Do not echo right-wing sloganeering.

This is why we really need safe bike infrastructure and incentives for more old people to get e-bikes or e-trikes. With those in place old people can be more independent and healthier as well.

This is not how appropriations work. Just because the funding expires, any policy in an appropriation remains in effect. This is a willful misunderstanding (or defiance) of a judicial order and a law of Congress.

Dear Ms. Wolfe,
Petitioner-Appellee Rรผmeysa ร–ztรผrk submits this Rule 28(j) letter to advise the Court that on January 29, 2026, the immigration court held that the Department of Homeland Security had not met its burden of proving removability, and the immigration court thereby terminated removal proceedings against Ms. ร–ztรผrk.' This development underscores the dangers of the government's interpretation of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Under the government's view, it could punitively detain any noncitizen in retaliation for her speech for many months, so long as it simultaneously institutes removal proceedingsโ€”no matter how unmeritoriousโ€”all without any federal court review of the lawfulness of detention at any time.
To be clear, the termination of Ms. ร–ztรผrk's removal proceedings does not moot her habeas case. (By contrast, as Ms. ร–ztรผrk has argued, this appeal is moot.
Br. 18-20.) Without habeas jurisdiction and the bail order that is currently in place, any government appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals would again subject Ms. ร–ztรผrk to re-detention. See 8 C.F.R. ยง 1003.6(a). For that reason, she continues to suffer the threat of continuing "now-or-never" First and Fifth Amendment harms.
Br. in Opp. 55-57.

Another classic post-Homan day where around school dismissal time we get a flurry of ICE vehicles all across our neighborhoods. Today one vehicle led an observer to their own home and pointed at it. This is a sick game to them, but we wonโ€™t be intimidated and we wonโ€™t stop until DHS is abolished.
