It's 26% less likely to hallucinate but they're still not saying what that baseline hallucination rate is... so I'm assuming it's still pretty bad.

My kid started school today. It's crazy early IMO. Personally I think they should just switch to the year round schedule (e.g., 45/15) at this point. More breaks throughout the year would make up for the loss of a real summer vacation. My brother's kid has that and he loves it.

So you’re telling me the Wizard of Oz presented itself as a towering force of overwhelming technology, only to be unmasked as just some guy, off-screen?

But once you're outside the Matrix you don't get real quality steaks!

TBH it scares me the first time I talk politics or similar with a new friend or someone I haven't seen in a while. I'm super afraid I'll realize I've missed their racism/bigotry/etc in the past. But we can't hide behind this fear and we need to confront/stop this unacceptable attitude/behavior.

I'm about 150 pages into the first book of this series (Ancestral Night) and I'm loving it! It always makes me so happy to find a new author who's work I can crawl through and discover new worlds to enjoy.

It would be abusing pain meds if I took an extra one or two so I could code, right? It's been little more than 2 months since I've coded/created anything and it's driving me bonkers. Knowing that it'll be at least another month until I can code again makes it that much more difficult. /sigh...

I'm going to be so happy when I can move my arm again. This sucks. It's been 3 days since a PT session gone bad and I'm still a wreck with 7-8 level pain _after_ taking pain meds.

The truth is that some of the billionaires we think of as left-leaning have also made the calculation that Zohran Mamdani is more dangerous than Stephen Miller. For that reason, there will likely never be funding for lefty operatives and creators who challenge how wealth is distributed in the US.

Okay, thanks. Guess I'll start toggling again. I do miss a lot of the "tech twitter" that hasn't centralized anywhere. :(

I'm up to 18.

Most of my US traveling has been due to work, kubecon, and a childhood cross-country drive my family took.

I actually think I may have been to more international big cities due to the cruises I've taken over the years. It's hard to cruise to US cities. lol

I used to toggle back and forth but then I stopped using mastodon. Is the tech there still active enough for the hassle? Do you know if there is a decent android app that you can use for both?

Why do I say things like "I'll cook dinner tonight" when I can barely move my arm today? I'm a stubborn idiot sometimes who doesn't want to acknowledge his current limits...

A screenshot of social media posts. The first post by Anna Baas (@venite) reads: "A friend learned COBOL and received a codebase where the last change was done in the 90s... by. his. mum." The second post by nobody (@imaguid) replies: "that's not how inheritance is supposed to work in programming"

Totally understandable. I can support that aspect of this. It's just the implications a new data version of the yaml data structure that bothers me. Unless I'm missing something it's less that than using a stricter output data structure.

Interesting, I didn't know there were charts that did that with the output of kubectl calls. I knew being able to change -oyaml was a naive thought. Though it would be an interesting idea to have an env var to do it. Stupid typing muscle memory is going take forever to retrain...
