The tundra and trumpeter swans have returned to the backyard. I love this time of year.

Found a melanistic arctic ground squirrel while birding this weekend. I donโt need to fly to outer space to know the earth is worth protecting.

Juniper bumped into a lynx while sniffing around in a red squirrel midden. Joon stayed still/quiet as the lynx arched her back and growled. I called Joon back to the trail and we watched the lynx bound away. Teaching Joon to stay calm around wildlife took time but absolutely worth it #lynx #yukon

The ducks have arrived to the little salt marsh in my backyard, north of Whitehorse. Counted 80 mallards, green-winged teal and northern pintails

Good morning Yukon.
It was a good day to spend in the mountains, disconnected from the madness of these times.
