I am sending out after-season thank you cards with personalized messages to my team.

I also felt inspired to write a poem to go inside. I’m not a poet, but it’s fun, and I’m proud of it.

It was a really difficult year for our program but they did amazing despite the exceptionally rocky road

received an absolutely amazing birthday present from a dear friend last night.
It’s a tarot deck necklace!!! It has all the majors in mini-form!

Ahhhh! Look what came today?! This is a Russian Dendritic Agate and the necklace was created by one of my staff members! Her stuff is absolutely incredible. She turns nature (plants/stones/insects/etc.) into jewelry, and this is the second piece I’ve bought from her. I’m in love!

Oh dear.
I’m going to an Oktoberfest house party tonight and I have no idea where my dirndl is…
Tearing apart my storage unit is going to be SO fun.
Not.
But at least I’ll feel super cute.

Driving 12 hrs with only one 30 min stop is a lot of driving.

I’m very tired, but it was still a great day overall. :)

Thank you Ember and thank you Hermes! My ride was perfect! No accidents, vehicle problems, or traffic jams! It took me a full 12 hrs to finally end my day but it was nice and smooth as far as the driving went! 🙂

I work 8 hr days.

Today I need to drive 4.5 hrs south, spend 2 hrs there, and drive 4.5 hrs back north.

I don’t get overtime.

BUT! My manager encourages me to flex my time, which means a shorter Friday.
Worth it? Worth it.

I nearly cried.

Giving my teenager their first travel experience is priceless to me.

I’ve never been so proud of myself for making this dream a reality. All the saving, planning, headache, lost sleep, etc….it was all worth it.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

…watching their excitement from the plane takeoff early in the morning, to the hotel room and pool, to the vastness and details of Disneyland, and the plane ride back at night over lit up cities. THAT was my favorite part. Hands down”

His response? “You are a really great mom, you know that right?”

I’m still thinking about an interaction I had with a staff member yesterday.

In our check in he asked “So what was your favorite part of your vacation last week?”

Without pause I said

Why are all of my library audiobook holds becoming available at the same time?! I have 6 now that I’ve been waiting MONTHS for…I can’t listen to them all fast enough!

I’ve kept my first Disney pirate coins safe in a little treasure chest since I was 10 years old!

I’m so happy to add these new ones in with my treasure.

I was super disappointed that Disneyland had virtually no merch or souvenirs for Indiana Jones!!!
They only had, hats, a whip, 3 different pins, a small action figure set, and this hoodie.

I obviously needed the hoodie.

Love it…or hate it?

We absolutely 💕loved💕Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! It was a gorgeous ride and a huge improvement to the old Splash Mountain.

What happens when you vacation for 5 days and spend time and space around thousands of people?

Because I clearly lost.

I haven’t been ill like this in a very, very long time. 😢

My hair did NOT like California water and Disney hotel shampoo & conditioner.

My head is very happy to be home. :)
