A yellow USB C power cable and a red USB A data cable plugged into a generic USB C OTG with power adapter which is then in turn plugged in to the USB C port on a project which in this case is yellow and gray box with a red domed speaker grill with a hex patterned grill.

If you're building a USB C host project on a dev board with only a single USB C connector like a Seeed Studio Xiao, you can use these generic USB C OTG with power adapter cables to power the USB device, power the dev board, and communicate between a device like a keyboard or mouse and the dev board.
