It's possible you have sleep apnea. I went untreated for many years until I finally did a sleep study. I had over 90 episodes per minute and was never really in REM sleep. You may want to talk to a doctor about this.

Yeah, it's not the most fun job, but as long as you get the correct pump it goes pretty easy once you get the pump out. Just have some towels handy for the inevitable water draining out. You do get the satisfaction of saving yourself a ton of money by doing it yourself, also. Good luck!
