Counsellor, psychotherapist, mother, carer, and advocate for humanity in mental health care—championing metabolic therapies as first-line treatment. Being a ‘good person’ isn’t enough. Detest big pharma and big food for their daily deceptions.

“When you’re interested in science and dive into psychiatric research, your heart is broken. It looks convincing and persuasive and it’s written in very persuasive language. In reality, it’s replete with assumptions and bias, especially regarding theories about how psychiatric drugs work.”

7/ Real & Powerful Alternatives Exist:

6/ Why This Matters:
Many doctors have limited training on the risks of psychiatric meds, safe tapering practices, or alternatives like metabolic therapies. Patients often don’t get the full picture and need to advocate for themselves.

5️⃣ Alternatives: Are there other approaches to explore? Yes, there are! But doctors often don’t know this. Even if meds are prescribed, addressing alternatives can still make a huge difference.

Had we been offered targeted nutrition or lifestyle therapies, it’s likely her depression could have resolved within a year —without her life being endangered.

1/ When my daughter was 16, she was prescribed fluoxetine for depression. She became suicidal—a known side effect of the medication—but this was treated as a worsening of her condition. None of these risks were discussed with us, and as her parent, I didn’t know what questions to ask.

Psychiatrist Dr. Georgia Ede recalls being taught that mental illness is ‘chronic, progressive, incurable.’ But there’s hope! New research shows that nutrition, like ketogenic diets, can improve brain health and transform lives. Your mind deserves the chance to heal. 🌱 #MentalHealth #MetabolicMind

It’s truly alarming and totally devastating. We are the most psychotropic prescribed population generationally yet our collective mental health continues to decline. So many innocent lives impacted. I’m heartbroken. Thank you for taking action and your campaign to raise awareness.

This is exactly what has happened to my adult daughter, although it was withdrawal from antipsychotic meds not AD’s (she tapered as instructed). Her GP is currently diagnosing her resulting tardive dyskinesia as functional neurological disorder. It’s truly exhausting trying to get help.

I received my copy yesterday. Two chapters in and all I can think about is a term I saw someone use on here recently “corporate psychiatry”. Psychiatry for the good of the corporations not for the good of the community. How many more lives destroyed before the real risks of meds are acknowledged?

The model in mental health is changing. The era of "faulty brain chemistry" is over, the hypotheses debunked, the drugs needlessly dangerous. We're moving to a more compassionate understanding that bad things happen to people and they suffer emotionally and physically as a result
