You are confused about the relationship of atheism and Humanism.

If you are going to post something in public, it might be better received if you didn’t use expletives, which is a sign that you lack the education to express yourself effectively without them.

Check out The Metaphysics of Morals by Immanuel Kant and you will find religion is not necessary for a moral life. Atheism has nothing to do with morals.

Atheism is one aspect of the much broader life-stance of secularism. Atheism by itself merely states one has no theistic beliefs, it doesn’t suggest a rational basis for a life of values, integrity or any ethical system. Check out Humanism and you might change your mind about the ambiguity of rape.

Thank you for your comment. I wouldn’t exactly call it a “blessing” which to me has religious connotations. I remember feeling happy to have found a group of people who endorsed the scientific method and the importance of verifiable evidence in making moral choices.

I was over 50 years old when I discovered Secular Humanism and was awakened to the enlightenment . I think it is important to have a code to live by, not just be an atheist.
