Portland can get rowdy β€” it’s part of our identity β€” but it can’t be emphasized enough how mellow Portland has been this summer.

Trump is increasingly desperate and will do anything to distract from the news of how bad the economy is, his unpopularity, & his prominent position in the Epstein files.

Trump is launching a full blown attack on free speech while his harem of billionaires buys up every media platform. This is no coincidence. It’s a coordinated attack on your fundamental right to speak freely without worrying if you’ll lose your job or worse.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

it’s fascinating. majorities of americans oppose the military occupation of cities. a substantial number of those are fucking furious about it, but rather than lean into this anger and attack trump’s perception of strength, these β€œstrategists” want democrats to avoid the confrontation entirely.

What these Schatz posts say to me is that Dem elected officials like him seem incapable of perceiving the right as a *political movement.* The response to Covid mitigation and the Floyd protests was not a spontaneous reaction...it was a right wing backlash organized by a reactionary movement.

Forecasting after the cliff is even worse, but project pipelines will dry up, supply chains will convulse...and cost of new additions will soar. Assuming we can even meet demand growth. πŸ”ŒπŸ’‘

Pretty amazing that a former president will sit quietly as one of his successors orders US troops into American cities and ships innocent people off to concentration campsβ€”but feels compelled to speak up when a fellow HR nightmare is at risk of losing to another member of the same party.

The security reason to electrify transport is not about oil imports, it’s economic resilience. Oil powers 90% of US vehicles, so when the price of oil spikes because of a war, people & companies pay more for energy, which hurts the economy. The more transport is electrified, econ security goes up.

He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations.
It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.
