Page one: Five panel comic Panel 1 shows Shadow the Hedgehog in silhouette at night looking up at a broken moon. The Space Colony Ark is also visible. Second Panel shows Shadow's head and arms folded. A wistful expression to establish his mood Panel 3 shows Shadow's head turning, him reacting to someone behind him. Dialogue: "Shadow the Hedgehog. The Ultimate Lifeform." Panel 4 continues, the shadowy figure floating. Shadow is in the distance, looking over his shoulder. "There is something I must ask you." Shadow: "Hm, so, you're the Eggman creation Sonic told me about..." Panel 5 is a reveal in the forest of Sage, the AI daughter of Eggman, her expression stoic and hard to read. Shadow: "Sage." Shadow: "What is it you want from me?"

Page 2. Five panels. Panel 1 shows Shadow and Sage in Silhouette. There is distance between them. Shadow looks over his shoulder as Sage speaks. Sage: "You are a creation of Gerald Robotnik. Raised on the Space Colony Ark." Panel 2: Shadow's listening, scowling at Maria being brought up by a stranger. Sage: "In addition, you were close to Maria Robotnik, cousin to my father." Panel 3: Shadow speaks dismissively. Eye narrowed, he's still not happy with Sage's presence and is wary. Shadow: "Eggman told you about my history." Sage: "Father created a file detailing your capabilities and potential contingencies to neutralize you. Though it was thorough, it was lacking information that I deemed crucial." Panel 4: Sage's face is shown in close up. She's facing down, reflective and showing emotional vulnerability. Sage: "As father is my family, they are his. He would never admit to it, but knowing so little about them weighs on him." Panel 5: Sage is now reaching out to Shadow, who is in the foreground. Sage is imploring him, being open. Sage: "To that end, I must ask...Can you tell me what they were like? Gerald Robotnik and Maria."

Page Three: Seven Panels. Panel 1: Shadow has his arms folded, looking over at Sage. He's not convinced by her words. Shadow: "You work for Eggman. Even if you call him father, you are a creation of his. Between how he dealt with Omega and his twisted mockeries of me, I know exactly how he treats his creations. How long will it be before he decides you’re a tool he no longer has use for?" Panel 2: Shadow's mouth is shown as he changes stance, his posture altered as he's about to leave Sage. Shadow: "If you do have your own will, you’d be wise to leave Eggman and find your own answers." Panel 3: Sage reacts by holding his hand, the contact is gentle as she tries to convince Shadow to share. Sage: "Wait. I know you have misgivings about father, and they are not unfounded. Even so, I would like to know about my family…if only for my own sake." Panel 4: Shadow and Sage are shown in full near the wilderness, a tree and bush are shown to also make it clear Sage has closed the distance. Sage: "You have no obligation to tell me, but…It is clear they matter to you. " "They must have been precious. I would like to know what made them so important." Panel 5: Shadow shows surprise for a moment, emotionally open now. Panel 6: Just as quick, Shadow hides it, turning his head and looking up. Panel 7: Shadow and Sage are shown in silhouette on the hill. The sky shows shooting stars along with the broken moon. Shadow: "…If you are sure. I can tell you at least a little." "Maria was my closest friend, and someone I gave my all for…"

The Sonic comic based on Shadow & Sage is complete.
