I think Dinosaur Island was the first board game I played that had pieces (the specialist cards) where I really felt they were saying “you should absolutely name this lil dude”.

Obviously I’m completely naive to how much work that would be in your program structure! 😅 But feels quite “Pico-8 ethos” to lay a bit of groundwork for some restrictions to be broken with a bit of user know-how.

Tbh me neither but iirc in love2D you can pop open the package and see the source code? Maybe your “soft mod support” feature is just putting all the lists users might want to add to as separate lua files in a “customise” folder?
