I still have my account there, just deleted the app and try not to post. But I do miss those days. It’s been a hard few years for me personally and it might be nice to be more active again. I may visit.

I have rarely seen as much “nudity” in a cdrama as in Shadow Love. He is VERY good looking and they are really working that, it almost felt racy at times 😆

Good to know. I much disliked his role in Lost You Forever and his fanbase (the comments on Divine Tree seem mostly “omg Deng Lei”). That has stopped me from watching, despite it looking great. But my interpretation of dramas has changed due to personal event, maybe should rewatch LYF too

This was my very first Asian drama, back in 2020. I loved it and was amazed at the social commentary. I still think of it often.

Looks like more ChengLei upper chest and arms . I had to laugh at the amount of bath and torso shots in this drama. He is exceptionally good looking/chiseled, and they are really working that.

Just saw that you stopped it about where I am now and I was thinking that I am getting really bored. Ok, will continue!

I am on episode 10 and there is no angst yet imo and the directing and acting aren’t that good (except Cheng Lei). They are getting their money’s worth out of Cheng Lei’s looks and naked torso! I am still enjoying it and looking forward to forward to any potential angst (my favorite trope).

Ah, I must have not paid attention or I thought it was in line with the trope of the poor suffering male lead, just thinking of TTEOTM.

I can’t think of why there were angry comments, I’ll have to look at the reviews to refresh my memory.

I found it was enjoyable. Carried by the male lead but enjoyable enough.

Interested to hear if it is worth it. I like the idea of 61 episodes.

I second Octavia Butler’s Parabel books. Outstanding but hitting a bit close to home these days. Almost eerie.
For more of a YA fantasy feel with fairy tale and Celtic background, I really like Juliet Marillier’s earlier work, Daughter of the Forest and Bridei Chronicles

I tried this but they never grow if I just overseed. I don’t want to till and risk erosion. I’m in the south, any suggestions?

I loved Princess Agents. I also started the novel but got a bit stuck on the novel’s background story. I watched PA right after Legend of Shenli. Zhao Liying and Lin Genxin have such great chemistry.

I miss over there as well. But at the same time, it’s become such a hellscape, I didn’t want to stay/continue engaging. Wonder if that may change again with the change in dynamics.

It’s just rough times. I hardly post/interact anymore both because of personal reasons as well as recent political climate. It’s not the same anymore.
