A huge milestone for the #RhinoFertilityProject! We’ve received new rhino ovarian tissue, crucial for developing fertility preservation techniques to save the Northern White Rhino.

Suzannah spoke on rhino conservation and sustainability, and Peter on the promise and risks of biobanking. Both talks were well received!
Emmerson Teas, a DPhil in our lab, attended the Cold in Biology and Medicine - 2025! She presented her exciting research, giving insights that explain why delaying cryopreservation improves follicle survival, with potential metabolic adaptations that might enhance fertility preservation techniques.
