Like... no. It allows you to alter the coordinates before they're used to apply a texture. That's exactly backwards.

"The Generated node here will try and generate coordinates with Blender's best guess."

Sorry, but that's Bad Instruction™️. Generated coordinates are very specific and very useful— 3 gradients, automatically scaled to match each axis of your object.

The next update of the Godot Shaders Bible won’t include the Compute Shaders section. Explaining it properly would push the book beyond 350 pages, and I want to keep it focused and readable. A dedicated volume on parallel processing and advanced rendering will come later. 🙂

Yep, Extrude is kind of two separate operations that are bundled together (an inset and move along normals), and is consistent with other two-part tools, like Loop Cut. Being able to cancel easily with right-click was important in earlier versions before there was a separate Inset operation.

Anyway, I'm oddly pleased with how that came out. I've always liked those kind of cartoony skull designs, and I did better with modeling organic shapes than I expected. Might add some shape keys with expressions.
