Incanting involves dragging out symbols you learn from observing the environment. The game doesn't tell you anything directly, so the player has to take notes about the symbols they learn and what the associated spells supposedly do, then try to solve puzzles. It's multiplayer so you won't be alone

Left bauble is move and it's limited to four directions, right bauble is look and moves freely. Wherever you leave a bauble, the game will hold that input. To navigate you essentially have to micromanage inputs using only your mouse

Foundational to my childhood, and still a fun game to this day. The community trade maps inspired the kind of environment design I would go on to do, particularly where secret hunting is concerned.

A shame it also heralded much of the free-to-play fincancial predation that plagues us now...

10/10 Much like Peeb Adventures I will likely be writing a pre-mortem for Orbo's Exodus down the line too. I had written a lot of planning material for the narrative and I feel like it would be kind of sad if I didn't make an effort to at least share what I had before the project ended.

2/10 Orbo's Exodus was initially launched to try and simultaneously address a lot of criticisms (from both the public and ourselves) of the first game while also serving as a financial buffer to allow FDSW to operate fulltime. The game was still far from being out, and I was now out of money.
