Taking the bus to discuss Oxford's congestion charge BBC Oxford gathers politicians and residents to go head-to-head on one of the area's biggest issues.

I saw this old bus parked outside the BBC yesterday, and now I know what it was doing!

Absolutely, some roads can't be saved with patching. They're too far gone.

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Can you give us a predication as to when the tangerine tyrant will snuff it? It will be comfort to us all knowing he won't last that long either.

I finished the day with a train ride from Chippenham to Swindon, then a trip on Pulham's 64 to take me back into West Oxfordshire.

For those who live in Witney and Carterton, the 64 really is a very useful service for getting to and from Swindon. It makes for a much shorter and more direct journey.

Yes, there were a lot of buses moving around the town in the hour I was there. And there were a wide variety of destinations with bus connections to Devizes.

LCR are buying most of the new buses, particularly the electric ones. Same with TfGM, who have also been buying the existing fleets from the operators. Now fleets of vehicles can move between different depots across the region as required.

In the case of both Manchester and Liverpool bus franchising, the local authorities own the depots and most of the buses. So they have everything they need to run the buses themselves, rather than contract out to a third party.

I'm out on a little (mostly) bus adventure today, starting with the 49 from Swindon, which will take me to Devizes.

The 'Trans-Wilts Express' is a really nice, scenic route. It's a shame the weather isn't great today.

I see the flag lickers were out last night plastering Woodstock with their unique brand of hate and division.

How long before the authorities are going to start doing something about these far-right lunatics?

I'm sick of seeing them run rampage across Oxfordshire with zero consequences.
