Large job lot of English-language Volvo brochures for sale in PBO: £100.

Mostly 300- and 400-series but there's also a couple of 66 and 740 catalogues (with one 240 brochure).

Lots of 340 limited edition material.

Twitter is a toxic cesspit of ragebait and vitriol and BlueSky isn’t, so that’s a win.

Personally I find the lack of engagement makes me feel more isolated from the old car community, which is a shame. Only a handful of people respond to anything, although those people are worth it.

I like what he does but I don’t want to watch videos that are literally hours long.

But that’s just me. He’s been very successful at what I was trying to do with my channel, except he’s authentic, charming and relatable and I’m not so that’s that.

So now I’ve fallen down a mahoosive rabbithole.

It’s been good to think about something else for a couple of days though. It’s like doing jigsaws. Soothing.

The 360 degree cam is perfect for in-car and fixed-to-car shots though, because you just sucker it on, press record and worry about angles, tracking shots etc etc in post.

Thanks Gentil, that’s kind of you. My Insta360 One X2 isn’t very good in low light though.

DJI seem to have been nailing it recently. I use an Osmo Pocket 3 sometimes, which is very good quality…but these days I mainly use my iPhone 15 Pro.

They’re a traditional local delicacy here, served with laverbread (seaweed). Little bits of bacon optional.

It’s not just you, I entirely agree.

It looks ok (albeit not my kind of thing) forward of, say, the front axle.

Does it need to be a laptop? You’ll get a chunk more graphics card etc for the same money with a desktop. You’ll need a monitor, but that’s a big advantage for video editing anyway.

Either way, I buy my kit from EuroPC - refurbed ex-display etc, and you’d never know.
