9/ This wasnโt just the potential end of Andrew Cuomoโs political career. Itโs the clearest sign yet that the ground beneath the Democratic Party is shifting.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 08/ The race isnโt fully over. In November, Mamdani faces embattled incumbent Eric Adams. But the signal tonight is clear.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 07/ Mamdaniโs victory shows the old playbook is losing its grip. Voters, especially young, multiracial, working-class communities, arenโt buying it anymore.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 06/ Nationally, it forces a reckoning: What does the Democratic Party look like now? Who is it for? And who does it leave behind?
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 05/ For the establishment, Cuomo was a test of whether the old guard could reclaim control from a party facing an identity crisis post-2024 presidential election.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 04/ This was a referendum on two visions: old politics rooted in power and influence vs. movement-driven, working-class coalitions. Voters chose the latter.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 03/ Zohran Mamdaniโs win, powered by grassroots organizing, signals a deep appetite for transformational politics in the nationโs largest city.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 02/ Andrew Cuomoโs comeback was powered by NYCโs most entrenched forces โ real estate interests, Wall Street, and big donors betting voters wanted โorderโ and โexperienceโ over a progressive shift.
25.06.2025 03:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0๐จ @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social has done what few in the Democratic old guard thought possible: he defeated former NY governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for NYC mayor.
A massive blow to the establishment and a defining moment for the partyโs future. ๐งต

The job of a free press isn't to placate a political figure. It's to ensure the truth always comes out, whether or not that means holding political figures like Donald Trump and JD Vance accountable. For example, merely reporting that Trump will pardon January 6th defendants is not enough. When reporting about critical events like that it is up to the media to discuss the events of January 6, 2021, what Donald Trump did to incite the violence on that day, and the indictments that came afterwards. But, that's not all. We must acknowledge the danger of pardoning those who tried to destroy our Capitol just four years ago. We cannot normalize that action. -Aaron Parnas
