Finished a 2nd draft of my WiP (a fantasy retelling of Joan of Arc with dragons) Yesterday. Got it down from a flabby 97 000 words to a fighting fit 88 000. Waiting for feedback on it.

Wrote a novel about a Soviet vampire hunting unit (Vampsov 1938, with Omnium Gatherum in the US), published in 2013, then Putin invaded Ukraine which… well I stopped promoting it. Now have an agent in the UK and hoping for good things!

To all you writers out there. I’m a member of a couple of critique groups, who discuss each other’s writings. The word count per submission tends to be around 1500-2000 words. Does that affect the length of your chapters? Bc a lot of people seem to be bc presenting chapters of that length… #writing

Finished the first draft of my latest novel, weighs in at 97,000 words. Phew! Will start editing in a week or so. But for now, I party!!🍾
