My great grandma passed 4 months before my birth.

What’s wild to me is that there was never a way in which my great grandpa and I would have been alive at the same time. He was born in 1864!

They had 8 children together including my grandpa. I learned two of his brothers had cook stories. One was an assistant to Evil Knievel after serving in the military. Another lied about his age to enter the navy where he served in the pacific during WWII.

His son, my great grandpa, his wife died of smallpox and a year later he married my great grandma, their family nanny who was 40 years his junior!

I just went down a family history rabbit hole. What I’ve learned… my great great grandpa migrated from Ireland as a teen after his parents death, and then served with the union during the civil war! 🧵

Something feels off today. Like there’s a shift in energy that my body is confused by and it is making me feel uneasy.

The girls got spayed and micro chipped yesterday. They’re wearing baby onesies instead of an annoying cone. I can’t wait for the next two weeks to so we can go back to normal.

I’m terrible at taking my adhd meds. I told my psychiatrist if she sets a goal for me, I’ll take them, so my goal is to take my meds 3 days/week. 2 days in a row I’ve taken them and I haven’t felt the angst or dread I typically do & I don’t feel like a pile of poo. So why is it so hard??? #adhd

This day keeps getting better.

My adhd rage is boiling up as we are now 6 minutes into a meeting that hasn’t begun because the old white guy leading it is incompetent and doesn’t know how to use technology.

Now I gotta worry about my half Mexican partner who procrastinated getting his real ID. If they take him, I’ll direct them to his parents house where his maga Mexican father resides.

… and cried with her. The messed up thing is I find it comforting that other people feel sad for my babies. They were so loved.

… that my Dexter is no longer here. I watched a wave of grief flow over her face. It’s the 2nd time this happened. A friend came over a week after Lucy passed. She asked me “where’s Lucy?” … I looked at her fiancé and said “you didn’t tell her!”… she began to cry and apologize and I hugged her….

The thing no one talks about after losing a pet, is having to unexpectedly deliver the news of your pets passing months after. I was at the vet and one of the techs didn’t know that I lost Dexter in September last year. She knew about Lucy in January but not Dex. So I had to watch someone get sad 🧵

One day this WILL end and when it does I KNOW that I will NOT forget what you all have done and said to end democracy.

I’m watching a news special on Targets boycott right now. They mentioned it was meant to be 40 days long. I boycott for life. I’ve been an ethical shopper for years and it is so difficult to find a place to buy anything these days. But my bank account isn’t complaining.

I’m wondering how the festivities in AZ are going to go today. I live in Vegas now and they don’t seem to celebrate like we did in AZ… but I couldn’t bring myself to celebrate in public today if I did. I’m so scared for my Mexican friends and family.

Trying to submit my board report but excel is being unresponsive so while my laptop restarts, I’m taking a break. And it’ll probably be a few hours before I end this break because adhd.
