Something a bit different from me today. An ode to ageing like The Smashing Pumpkins…brought to you courtesy of the complicated but ultimately joyful feelings I experienced watching a band I’d worshipped in my teens perform live over 20yrs later newsletter.carolinecriadoperez.com/p/an-ode-to-...

The Perfection Trap β€œWhy are girls to be told that they resemble angels; but to sink them below women?”

I don’t believe in imposter syndrome - and in the latest edition of the Invisible Women newsletter, I explain why

Witches and babies and DEI, oh my! We shouldn’t have to make a business case for the business of being human

What do witches and babies have to do with the backlash against DEI?

This week’s Invisible Women newsletter is a rather sprawling essay that represents my attempt to answer exactly that question.

You would think! But just goes to show everything he says about sex is about enforcing gender norms not actually helping women. Which was already obvious, but surprising how many people didn’t grasp this

If anyone is able to share a copy of the now offline FDA guidance on including underrepresented populations in clinical trials with me I’d be very grateful. Apparently ensuring medications work for women is part of the β€œwoke” agenda now.

Are women underrepresented or are men overrepresented? β€œIn fact, many of the studies in this field have used male models as a reference, ignoring the anthropometric diversity of women.”

To find out what researchers discovered when they tested the effect of this shift, as well as excellent news on seatbelt design head to the latest edition of the Invisible Women newsletter!

What if we've been talking about representation all wrong?

When we talk about gender in leadership, we usually talk about female <under>representation. But what if we should instead be talking about male <over>representation?

Middle-class women of a certain age it is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all.

Women are considered β€œold” much younger than their male counterparts: women are old at 30, whereas men don’t drop into the dreaded β€œold” category until they’re in their 50s. In this week's newsletter I've written about "women of a certain age"...

Whenever I read about this case I think of the Greer quote about how women don't realise how much men hate us and I think, it's not quite right. We know, we just can't bear to think about it most of the time. Devastating account by @victoriapeckham.bsky.social
