Why I still observe this month.

The lynching of Willie Brown was a horrific event that took place in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 28, 1919. Brown, a black man, was falsely accused of raping a white woman. A mob formed and stormed the Douglas County Courthouse where Brown was being held.

Thanks for nudging me to read Seth’s post from a different perspective. I got too laser focused on the “addiction” piece which should not be demonized instead of the bigger picture.

Though he is not wrong, you can show compassion towards these people and teach some of them how to overcome addiction. The the housing issue solved itself.

In today’s climate, you may need to do both.

In almost 30 years of recovery, I’ve witnessed this countless times.
