Only ~1 in every 100 woman is transgender. So the odds of that "masculine looking person" in the ladies room being cis are about 99-to-1. And as always, gender policing falls most heavily on women of color, who are seen as not meeting Eurocentric white standards of femininity.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

This is why we are at this point in history. Perfect can never be the enemy of good. We don't live in a perfect society.

In many states there are versions of ‘Enhanced License’ which is RealID compliant and proves citizenship. I believe that is the intent of that section of the act. A standard RealID license typically does not have proof of citizenship, but at least there’s an option beyond passports.

And it was different depending on what time of day and how far away you were calling. And let’s not forget early cell phones that had costs in the multiple dollars per minute during peak time.

If there’s one thing democrats are good at, it’s throwing away momentum.

I currently live in NYS, and it is very similar. Major centers are very blue and accepting. The rest of the state, especially to the north, become deep red. Hell, my representative is Elise Stefanik if that gives any hint as to my surroundings.. and very sorry for your tragic loss.

I don’t live in Maine. But I have vacationed there, and with this leadership I may have to consider that as a possible relocation option one day. I stated as much in the feedback form to them. Everyone else should do the same.
