When I was being prepped for BA surgery I was asked to provide a urine sample. I asked what the test was for and told it’s “routine.” 10 minutes later the health portal app on my phone gets a notification. Turns out I’m not pregnant. Also I work for gender clinic associated with surgeon & hospital

The Times’ coverage of transgender healthcare is biased and one-sided in a manner which has only served to further harm the transgender community at-large. On Thursday June 5, 2025, The Times will be launching its 6-part podcast titled “The Protocol” aimed at covering transgender healthcare for minors, which looks to be more of the same unsubstantiated rhetoric. This release also coincides with the first week of Pride Month. The Transexual Menace NYC refuses to tolerate any longer the constant deluge of journalistic hit jobs directed at our community. It is time to raise public awareness of The Times’ failure to provide factual, evidence-based coverage. Beginning at 9:00 AM and running throughout the work day, The Transexual Menace NYC will be picketing The New York Times Building at 620 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan to demand an end to The Times’ deliberate anti-transgender bias. Publishing this content as a podcast, a format more easily engaged in than print, is particularly harmful. As Parker Molloy explains in this article from The Present Age: “Audio content can feel more intimate and trustworthy than text… And releasing all episodes at once during Pride Month maximizes the potential for viral spread and political weaponization.” This is a clear display of The New York Times’ efforts to continue spreading their executives’ biased points of view to as wide a centrist audience as possible.

TERFs are literally just saying "I don't believe cis women are being harassed in bathrooms" right now.

It's AMAZING how quickly transphobes just jump straight to misogyny and anti-feminism when it suits their needs.

It’s so stupid and hurtful, but of course that’s the point. It’s meant to out and identify the professional staff that represent the US everyday who happen to also be trans.

And guess what, those professionals are still going to be professional, even as their nation fails them.

The MAGA State Department is not just being gratuitously cruel to trans employees. Deliberately outing & misgendering them in communications will endanger civil servants & foreign service officers abroad.

They want trans people to quit government, to disappear from public life, or to just die.

You are speaking up. And that gives others courage to speak up. And yet, as you know it’s exhausting being visible, while you watch so many peers be silent.

I’ve put my energy into the transexualmenace group as a means of being visible in meaningful ways.

You are saying the words I’ve been struggling to say myself about this insane place we are in.

As a trans woman who works in a gender clinic I hear a lot of tales of woe, and no question this process can be hard, especially now. But, we aren’t transitioning for others, we do this for ourselves - celebrate the fun we get to have when we are being our authentic selves.

like dog theyre not death camps to *you* yet maybe - but look up the raw statistics of what happens to people like *us* when we get arrested. yeah.

If 70k was just pocket change to me and we were still in a world with non-existent trans healthcare on the NHS, there would still be no more surgery fundraisers because I’d pay for them all. Impossible to become a billionaire without also being a dreadful human being.

Cis people: if you see someone trying to bully trans folks out of single-sex spaces, it’s your moral duty to intervene.
