I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

I'm thankful for her husband. They are so good to her. I know they are going through so much right now. They've been together since we were 21. We are both 41 now. My bestie and I are literally a month apart. She's so young. And she's so good. And I just hate everything about this. 7/7

What are we supposed to do? How am I supposed to feel? I'm angry and I'm upset. We always thought we'd grow old together. See some of the world together. She knows me like no one else. She loves me like no one else. How am I supposed to feel. 6/7

I had already prepared myself for even worse news but that doesn't mean you still aren't shocked and upset. It's essentially everywhere. Her spine. Mass.that was in her pelvic and lungs are larger. There is one at her thyroid causing a rightward deviation in her trachea. 5/7

But on my birthday last month they admitted her and did a brain scan. Where they found lesions on her brain. One that was bleeding and one that was blocking the drainage ventricle. Scary scary things. Doctors have wanted to do a spinal mri and that happened this week. 4/7

She's had one complete round of radiation and chemo, after which she's had weakness, fatigue, etc. She's had blood transfusions, which is typical of the treatment. But then she had dizziness and vertigo. At first, they thought it was one of her meds. 3/7

At every turn, we've just gotten more and more awful news. It took 3 weeks for the tumor at her cervix to go from nothing to the size of a grapefruit. How do we know that? Well... she had kidney stones and had a scan 3 weeks prior to the intense pain she was having. 3 weeks. 2/7

My best friend, of 27 years, is facing the absolute worst diagnosis. She has Cervical cancer. Non HPV type. Rare. Super aggressive. It's in her endometrial tissue. Which, if you didn't know, can be found throughout the body. Especially women who have endometriosis. Which she has. 1/7
