Anti-choice extremists in Indiana are trying to force the release of records for the very few legal abortions in the state (146 in 2024). The purpose is to intimidate patients and providers and expose them to harassment, arrests, and violence.

Agreed. But there's no forgiveness (from me) for the harm already caused. And there's certainly no undoing it.

Well, it's gonna be tricky to resurrect dead people, but since you mention sin and not ignorance and a predilection for corruption, violence and bigotry, maybe you believe in such fantasy.

This is good because it's the BEGINNING of necessary atonement, but certainly for most, not the full measure. This person will never have my personal forgiveness, but maybe they can now begin the process of forgiving themselves. I can't imagine the work it will take, but well worth the effort.

Trump is actually right in practical terms. Religion is patriarchy. It is a manufactured enforcement mechanism for maintaining male heirarchy. It will always work better under authoritarianism than democracy. Authoritarian politics and religion are mirrors of each other.
