Her fur is yellowed from the lime sulfur dip we use to treat her ringworm and she’s in a bad mood about it. Behind her is a large old man cat who has white and brown fur. he also has ringworm and has been in jail for months trying to clear it. he gazes out the window at freedom, longing to be anywhere the kittens aren’t.

she is giant now. and goes back to the shelter saturday to see if she is FULLY recovered from ringworm

oh hey we made an 18x24 “IS THIS YOUR BOY?” poster of him and put it in mom’s yard. his fam’s neighbor was out walking and saw it, she made a call and his mom was over here within minutes.
turns out he’s an 18.5 year old man named RUDY and everyone is v happy to have him back where he belongs. 💜

We got full body x-rays and a blood panel and this lucky boy is SOMEHOW free from obvious injury or abnormal labs. They’re pretty sure he got clipped by a car based on a bloody nose and some eye weirdness but we’re comfortably releasing him back to me for observation. 🎉🎉

UPDATE: We’ve been calling the cat Sidewalk. He is a boy. He is neutered. He is declawed in the front. He is the sweetest man ever and just SLEPT ON MY LAP while we were at the emergency vet.

I was at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo when I learned that cow chiropractors were a Thing.

I was disappointed to learn that they weren’t called Cow-ropractors.
And that the guy wasn’t wearing a shirt that said “WE’LL GET YOU MOOOOO-VING.”
