Today is National Religious Freedom Day. At a time when our federal government has been corrupted by Christian Nationalists, it is more important than ever to stand up for religious freedom and the rights of all Americans.

We are excited about working with the community to defend voting rights in our state. A main legislative priority for us this year will be the passage of a new bill codifying the 1965 Voting Rights Act into RI law.

Join us this Thursday at 8 PM ET for the first of our "America: Beyond 250" speaker series!

This virtual event will feature author, renowned historian, and one of the nation's leading experts on church-state separation, Professor Steven K. Green.

The fight for Religious freedom is the fight for reproductive freedom. It's been a privilege seeing anti-abortion crusaders lose repeatedly in our state. We'll continue to stand against them and relish their defeats. Because this is RI, the birthplace of religious freedom. We take that seriously.

You have the right to photograph anything in plain view while lawfully in public. If your rights are violated, document everything. If stopped by police, ask if you are free to go. The public will be guaranteed access to the State House rotunda for a rally the day of the Governor’s upcoming “State of the State” address. Groups were denied access last year.

Our lawsuit will continue to ensure the State House is ALWAYS accessible as a place of free speech.
