📢 ICARS Announcement: Welcoming Emma Dalmayne to the Team! @aimautistic.bsky.social
Since 2020, Emma has been a key ally in our fight to end restraint & seclusion. A fierce advocate for autistic rights, she has exposed harm, amplified neurodivergent voices & pushed for systemic change. 🧵

- You are not a burden.
- You matter and give as much as anyone else.
- Political rhetoric is designed to make us feel that needing benefits is shameful—but it’s not.
We all need support at times. You are valued, respected, and wanted.💜
Kintsugi is a Japanese art form that involves repairing broken pottery and other ceramics using lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. The term 'Kintsugi' translates to 'joining with gold.' Rather than concealing cracks, Kintsugi accentuates them with gold, telling the object's story and finding beauty in its imperfections.
