When will the working class come together to fight this? Both parties in power don't care about our rights, safety, or security. They want to increase their power and close the door behind them. This is not a win and not the way to prepare the future of our country. It's selfish.

I wish we had advocacy at a federal level for things like holding pharma accountable, policy reform, holding big corps accountable for eco concerns, etc. Trump Admin is full of crazies. He’s the only one talking about anything I care about.

RFK Jr is my favorite person in the Trump Admin (low bar). I don’t agree with a lot of what he’s said, but he actually cares about the most important issues in our country, and clearly isn’t the type to sit by quietly.

In short, execs get to make record profits, our gov gets access to tech without lifting a finger, and we get stuck with the bill—in our wallets, bodies, and public square.

If Congress did their job, we’d be protected & business would thrive.

Our health just doesn’t make anyone richer.

The model that drives big business is that predatory public practices, unsafe standards & fiscal manipulation give top-heavy businesses the profits they need to dev inventions that the US Gov uses in return for a lack of real government oversight on the safety.

China’s clear dominance early in the 2nd Trump Era will mean a gloves off, high octane approach to governance. Deregulation has *never* benefited public health and wellness. There is a path that allows for both ingenuity & protection, but of course our government won’t take it.

perhaps DEI just drives a wedge between racial and social groups that makes it harder to surpass race/gender/etc and focus on the class war that is actually driving most of our suffering?

I read it more as him saying DEI was a divisive stopgap that stopped real steps towards class consciousness, but there’s definitely a strange lack of like…explaining that? Redpilled Ryan?

The goverment’s ONLY job is to take care of the population it serves. Education, Health, Housing…these things should be a pride of our country. Why let certain states collapse while other’s thrive?

I gotta assume his take is more nuanced than the comments are supposing. Ryan has put forth a lot of support for POCs and international victims of American Imperialism. There’s more than one way to support change in this country, and more than one view you can adopt in order to get it.

The binary gender policy in his EO on DEI is scary, but at the very least that section could be thrown away because of Bostock v Clayton.
