LMAO, Keith does that because the MCP posts have like 60 images and Libsyn asked us to stop.

Okay, there simply are *not* other layouts available directly with Libsyn unfortunately, and they don't have dynamic image resizing apparently! I reduced the sizes of the images somewhat but I suspect it's still not great. Gonna have to look for another solution longterm

Yeah, those are just the older, libsyn 4.0 layouts, and we're now onto 5.0, so my options were all tied to those. I'll look later

Hmm, not something we have a lot of direct control over because it's all just @libsyn.com templates. I'll take a look at settings later and see if there's something I can do

New Side Story. The actual post on the website (linked) has very important visual information for a very tortured metaphor I was trying to make about Endless Legend 2's muddiness compared to the crispness of the first.

But it’s not just the slop. It’s also the scams. β€œAt its most innocuous, AI generated content without watermarking and metadata accelerates the enshittification of the internet and tricks people with inflammatory content,” Tobac said. β€œAt its most malignant, AI generated content without watermarking and metadata could lead to every day people losing their savings in scams, becoming even more disenfranchised during election season, could tank a stock price within a few hours, could increase the tension between differing groups of people, and could inspire violence, terrorism, stampede or panic amongst everyday folks.”

Tobac showed 404 Media a few horrifying videos to illustrate her point. In one, a child pleads with their parents for bail money. In another, a woman tells the local news she’s going home after trying to vote because her polling place was shut down. In a third, Sam Altman tells a room that he can no longer keep Open AI afloat because the copyright cases have become too much to handle. All of the videos looked real. None of them have a watermark.

Sora 2 Watermark Removers Flood the Web Bypassing Sora 2's rudimentary safety features is easy and experts worry it'll lead to a new era of scams and disinformation.

It's laughably easy to remove the watermark from Sora 2 generated videos. 404 Media found dozens of websites and pieces of software that will do it.

"I know that there are some people in this room who don't believe that my marriage should have been legal," Ms. Weiss told the Federalist Society, an influential
conservative legal group, in 2023. "And that's OK. Because we're all Americans who want lower taxes."

Why 'The Adventure Zone' has become a cultural phenomenon Over 180 million podcast downloads. A No. 1 spot on the 'New York Times' best-seller list. 'The Adventure Zone' is a certified phenomenon.

TAZ is great, so this is not a slight on it: But Season's first season had something like 300 million listens (about 25 million per episode). Per this EW article (ew.com/books/2019/0...), TAZ had 180M (still humungous) between 2014 and 2019, which was somewhere just over 100 eps.

It's really remarkable. Lots of thoughts about why this is, but I think all of them are sort of unfalsifiable and I could make a second, different argument that counters the first immediately. Is it unprecitabiltiy? Is it unions? Is it audience? Is it bad WOTC management? Is it funding? Is it brand?

Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, 'Treatment is simple. Go on YouTube and search 'Deadlock TNA retro sync'." Man bursts into tears and says "oh you damn right"

Truly agree here. As a critic going through a multi-year slump largely caused by a huge loss of creative and critical confidenceβ€”which feels a little like being unable to tell if the milk you are drinking is sourβ€”I am constantly needing to force myself to walk back from this weasel wording.

Buried in Altman's post is the real story: "People are generating much more than we expected per user," using massive compute resources on content that's often being generated for very small audiences (it is, after all, a social media app). OpenAl will "have to somehow make money for video generation," Altman wrote. Translation: Sora is burning through compute costs with no offsetting revenue.
Altman floated a potential solution: "We are going to try sharing some of this revenue with rightsholders who want their characters generated by users." The idea-perhaps similar to You Tube's ad-monetization program for videos that include copyrighted material
-would give studios a financial incentive to opt in.
"The exact model will take some trial and error to figure out," Altman acknowledged, "but we plan to start very soon."

Sora, Not Sorry: OpenAI Backtracks on Opt-Out Copyright Policy OpenAI, facing backlash, will now let rightsholders decide whether their characters appear in Sora 2, with revenue sharing for those who opt in.

OpenAI backtracked on their opt-out policy and now they say they’re gonna work it all out with β€œrevenue sharing” with copyright holders. how much for a license from Disney to relinquish any control over its intellectual property
