Despite a crocheted edge I did not trust my steek- or my buttons, so reinforced with vinyl tape used for puffer jacket repair - still intact almost two years later! Inside of a handknit sweater shows black tape along the seams for reinforcement

Sides, sleeves, then add collar. Set in sleeves start either at the top/ mid horizontal point so that any correction in fit happens under the armpit to hide and imprrfections

Oh my- that's really intense! I just started crochet last year and the granny squares have been how I've been learning new stitches. How big did the 140 square turn out?

Good idea too, I could theoretically start this without waiting to have the "correct" amount of squares

I like this idea, I'm totally prepared to crochet strips and rectangles and attached as needed to help even out the sizes but this may be more doable then doing really long strips together like most of the granny square tutorials I've seen

About 70 crochet granny squares in various patterns and colors are laid out in a checkerboard pattern against a green and blue carpet. A pencil is to the side for scale.

#crochet #crochetsky I've gotten myself into something I very much cant handle. About 70 granny squares, different patterns, sizes and scraps with none of the ends sewn in. I thought this could be a blanket, overwhelmed. Can anyone offer a strategy to get this to a doable state? 🧶
