It's barely been over a year. Every day is a new horror. I still can't believe sometimes that we're stuck with him again.

The lore in this game is wild and it gets better as the game goes on.

The closest thing I can put a bead on is that we're in the twilight of the Twisted Nostalgia era right? FNAF, Banban, Poppy, Amazing Digital Circus; horror reimaginings of now public domain classics (Pooh, Mickey, Popeye); etc.

Not really sure what the current pop culture media zeitgeist is. Someone clue me in.

I really dig a lot of the Beanmouth era's stalwarts - Homestuck and Steven Universe are perpetual favorites and I mercifully never had to bother with their fandoms at large.

I feel like Adventure Time kinda marked the end of that era and ushered in the ukulele-soaked, pejoratively named "Beanmouth" era.

That whole High Fructose / "urban vinyl" / street art revival period was a trip. A lot of it intersected with the indie rap scene. MF DOOM and his side projects, Aesop Rock, Talib Kweli, etc.

Every time I make a boneheaded mistake that costs me hundreds of dollars, it's because of some ridiculous nonsense that I couldn't really predict or prevent and will learn nothing from, except maybe in this case not to... handle my phone on a slope after moisturizing my hands??

Starting off the new year strong by completely breaking my phone by dropping it down the stairs, off to a great start. Nothing says "fresh start" like going tabula rasa on my wallet.
