It's not a BAD movie, IMO it's just that the medium of film struggles to adequately capture the psychological essence of the book. Requires more "tell, not show".

I skipped the ASMR and listened to a lucid dreaming hypnosis album last night and I had some stupid vivid dreams so that was kinda fun.

Sphere. Too cerebral to be properly depicted in a 90 min film.

That's cooler than my dream about popping a bike tire and having to get a ride home from Philip DeFranco and stopping for food court pizza on the way back.

Forgot to name it - Sea of Stars! Anyway - I keep slowing down/backtracking so I can absorb every detail. It's so lush with personality, the lighting is incredible (especially during sunrise and sunset), everything about it is so immersive and lovely. If I'd played this at 15, it'd be in my DNA.

I only really just dipped my toe in so far but, as tired as I have gotten of claims that things are the "spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger", this one seems like it might live up to the claim. The intro chapter alone has something really fundamental in it that kinda grabbed my soul. AND THE ART!
