Despite softer federal clean electricity targets, Sask. government still opposed to regulations | CBC News Saskatchewan is opposing new federal energy regulations it says are "unconstitutional" and not economically feasible, despite changes made to accommodate the province.

Just so weโ€™re clear, the Sask Party is working on behalf of their big donors, Alberta oil and gas. They will burn the planet to fill their pockets. Climate change will make food more expensive as extreme weather impacts crops and drought impacts cattle. #skpoli

Scott Moe and Sask Party are dismal failures.

Those without housing are about triple the all time high from 2020, sitting at over 1500 people.
Yet Gary Grewal Gaines 3/4 a million. What about Jeremy cockrill? Scott Moe? Scott Moeโ€™s wife? There are others.
People are freezing to death.

Australia is moving to ban the rich from donating in politics while in Saskatchewan we have Scott Moe undoing some buttons, turning down the lights, pouring a drink and telling the rich to come back to bed.

Sask. HIV rates are worst in Canada, recent stats show | CBC News Saskatchewan HIV rates are the highest in the country, and some experts are saying this should not be happening with the advancement in science and medicine.

Moe says he 'can't remember' specifics of award received from lobby group Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe denies hiding an award given to him this summer in part for his work "defending parental rights."

And often services like this ultimately โ€œsave moneyโ€ for the system. We used to have public bus service (Saskatchewan Transportation Services) that was โ€œlosing moneyโ€ but provided a service (including health supplies like blood products) that cost much more to courier now

Canada Post is a public service and we should NOT expect it to make a profit. Do we expect parks to turn a profit? Or emergency services? Do roads turn a profit? Canada Post provides a broad service to Canadians and SHOULD be government funded and maintained.

Itโ€™s not meant to make money, itโ€™s a crown corp. No profit-making company can deliver at the price point Canada Post does to rural and remote communities.
Having said that, when I saw the pay of their board members, it left me with some questions.

Australia: "Long COVID is hitting up to an estimated 20% of Australians 3 months after they contracted COVID โ€” mostly women, but also men and children. In the current COVID wave, that means a lot of people coming down sick for a long time"

In unadjusted analyses, the mean weekly ratio between hospital-onset and community-onset infections increased from 2.9% prior to Omicron dominance to 7.6% (95% CI, 6.0%-9.1%) during Omicron dominance. After universal masking and testing ended, it increased to 15.5% (95% CI, 13.6%-17.4%), then fell to 8.0% (95% CI, 5.0%-11.0%) following resumption of masking among health care workers. Under the adjusted Poisson model (Figure), cessation of universal masking and testing was associated with a 25% increase in hospital-onset respiratory viral infections compared with the preceding Omicron-dominant period (rate ratio [RR], 1.25; 95% CI, 1.02-1.53), and resumption of masking among staff was associated with a 33% decrease in hospital-onset respiratory viral infections (RR, 0.67; 95% CI, 0.52-0.85).

This paper is interesting for a few reasons. It shows that mask mandates in healthcare protect patients from infections, and removing mask mandates in healthcare harms patients.

A facility without a mask mandate is making a *deliberate choice* known to harm patients.

Intellectualism is always a danger to authoritarianism. So you keep the masses as ignorant as possible and with enough problems/entertainment to not have the time, energy OR interest to critically think.
