Aww, thank you, friend! 🩷🩷🥰 I realized that I put the sparkles on upside down (they were applied in one strip like a temporary tattoo, and the ends are meant to curl upward by the eyes, not down by the cheeks), but I was still very happy with them. The shape and placement made sense to me 😂

I haven’t settled on an album for my current WIP, but my last book was written to Sabrina Carpenter’s Short and Sweet!

And 👀 ooh that does sound like the proper vibe for such a story!! ✨

Lately I’ve leaned into listening to the same album on repeat while drafting, and *only* listening to it when I write. (Albums change out when I switch projects.) It works both as a quick signal to get my brain into “writing mode” as well as a special treat/incentive reserved for work time.

Right?! 🤢 As if the system wasn’t bad enough already, let’s just ramp up the worst parts! My hope is that, if anything, taking it this far might inspire some momentum for the pendulum to swing further in the other direction… 🤷‍♀️ 🤞

I feel like fatness and diabetes are still so broadly (and completely inaccurately) painted as personal and moral failings, which makes them a more acceptable “in” point for this kind of thing. I could be wrong. But as someone who has experienced medical fatphobia, my hackles are raised.

On top of the major concerns about data invasion & subsequent attacks on vulnerable populations, the thought of an AI chatbot telling people how to lose weight makes me want to punch the sun.

Despite being the one who asked this, I have such a hard time picking favorites! But I will say I had the most ✨ fun ✨ writing my extravagant lush of a wizard who is equal parts dandy, mad scientist, and disaster bisexual.
