I don’t get food stamps. I don’t even know what a food stamp card looks like. YET you could not pay me to care about what people are buying with theirs. My taxes can and are being used for worse things than people eating.

People deserve more than bare survival. They deserve dignity and frivolity too. Otherwise what's the point of having a society at all?

People with EBT cards can use them to buy lobster or ribeye or birthday cake or soda pop or whatever else you think they shouldn't have because it's none of your goddamn business.

People who receive SNAP can have nice things without owing you an explanation about how those things were gifts or hand-me-downs or thrifted or whatever.

More than half of the people who receive SNAP are fully employed. You tax money isn't going to pay for people's food. It's going to employers so they can keep paying low wages.
